How do I setup my Outlook 2003?

Step 1 Open Outlook 2003 email application and click Tools > E-mail Accounts.

Step 1a Choose Add new e-mail account and click Next.

Step 2 Choose POP3 as server type and click Next.

Step 3 Here you will enter your account information.

User Information

Enter your name as you want it to be displayed to recipients of your email.

Enter your full email address.

Logon Information

Enter your username and password.

For .net customers: You must enter your full email address as your user name.

For .com customers: You must enter the username given to you at signup. For example: ys012345.

Server Information

If your email address ends in .net, your Incoming and Outgoing mail servers are mail.americablejapan.net.

If your email address ends in .com, your Incoming and Outgoing mail servers are mail.username.americablejapan.com.

Step 4 Click the More Settings button and click Outgoing Server tab. Here you will need to check the option for My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and then click ok.

Step 5 Verify that you are connected to the Internet. Next, click the Test Account Settings button. If all your information was entered correctly you should see all green check marks for the completed task. If you see red X's for any of the tasks, verify that your information is entered correctly and test the account again.

Final Steps Once the account has tested successfully in all tasks click next and then Finish. Repeat steps 2 through 5 for setting up addition email accounts.
